Margaux Alvarez brings 17 years of coaching experience and an athlete’s understanding of what it takes to perform at the highest level. A seven-time CrossFit Games athlete (2013–2019), 2018 CrossFit Regional Champion, and competitor on NBC’s Titan Games and American Ninja Warrior (2 times) , she has lived the training, recovery, and mental demands she now coaches others through.
Her coaching résumé is just as deep as her competitive one. For more than five years, Margaux served as a Head Trainer on CrossFit HQ’s Seminar Staff, traveling the world to teach coaches and athletes movement fundamentals in lecture and small-group settings. Most recently, as a Performance Coach at Elevate SPH in Las Vegas, she delivered and coached individualized programming focused on strength development, mobility, injury prevention, and long-term health. She worked alongside physical therapists and sports-medicine staff to build integrated training plans. Today she is the General Manager of Be Somebody Gym in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Margaux coaches everyone from competitive and youth athletes to general-population clients who simply want to move well and feel strong. Her approach is grounded in movement quality first. It follows a clear hierarchy of training and pairs physical work with the mindset skills that make progress last. She works with clients 1:1, in small and large groups, and remotely, including customized nutrition coaching. What draws her to Be Somebody Gym is the community; she’s passionate about helping members find not just fitness results, but a second home and a family. Her mantra: Embrace the struggles. Celebrate the successes. Enjoy the process.
